KCACTF Region VIII offers Festival XL participants a wonderful opportunity to take the next step in their educational or professional goals with this chance to be seen and heard by major universities and theatre companies. There is no additional fee for participants. All Festival registrants are eligible to participate. Please note: All Next Step participants must show their festival ID at check-in. See schedule for details.
PERFORMERS
The acting and singing auditions will take place all day Friday, February 15th. To help facilitate the audition process the you will be given ninety seconds to perform your scene and part of a song if you care to. Hours will be assigned as soon as we receive your registration form. You will need to bring forty copies of a headshot and resume. The dance auditions will take place Saturday, February 16th at 1:00 p.m. Warm ups will begin at noon. I look forward to receiving your registration form.
DESIGNERS / TECHNICIANS
Design, technical production, stage management and theatre management/publicity/front of house candidates have 5 minutes in which to make a presentation. A table will be provided. Any special equipment (e.g., audio, video, and computer) needs to be noted on the candidates registration form. Technical Theatre interviews will be held Saturday morning between the hours of 9 a.m. and noon. Hours will be assigned as soon as we receive your registration form.
